Haven’t posted in awhile, but continue to read. Being a long-term SuperCab guy, I recently bought a 76 f250 and a 79 f150, both standard cabs. The maroon 79, I bought for 500 bucks. I have been removing junk parts and replacing with good stuff out of my stock. Behind the seat is a chunk of cast-iron on rubber, insulated posts. He has a ford engineering number that starts with D4TB. Having owned quite a few of these trucks in different cab configurations, I have never ran across this part. Anybody else have one, or know anything about it?
My 79 F-250 developed a crack in the sheet metal from the center bottom of the rear window running down about 2"
Never knew why but this may be a weak spot for vibration.
