Starter Terminals
Hello everyone! I'm working on a 97 5.0L Explorer. When removing the starter there's two wires. One, the battery cable and the other the start wire. The start wire just plugs onto the flat terminal on the starter but I just destroyed it getting it off. I found what could be a release but pushing or pulling it didn't free it up. Opened a little swing door where the wire enters the connector but still wouldn't come off the flat blade. Finally I just pried the thing off and it looks like the thing inside that might have needed releasing probably, bent out into the space where a flat blade would slide in. How is this thing supposed to come off?
