Engine swap

Hey, I’m new to the site, but wanna know what the best diesel swap would be for my 1993 f-150? Looking to make a pretty strong truck with as little fabrication as needed

Welcome to FTE.

If you want a strong diesel truck, why not buy an F250 or 350 with the OEM diesel motor?

You'll go broke and nuts trying to make it work in an F150.

Cheapest option... sell the F150 and buy a truck that already has a diesel in it. It is going to be challenging to do a swap for less than $10k. That said if you REALLY want to swap a diesel into your f150 is B series Cummins is the way to go, lots of options and 3rd party support.

For a 150 you might want to look at the 4 cylinder B series, the I-6's are about a 1000 pounds empty much more than the frame of your F150 was designed for.

Good luck.
