engine swap

Hi everyone some advice please. I have a 2016 Transit that has a blown engine.I'm looking to swap it with either a 2016 mustang engine or a F-150 engine. They are all 3.7 engines. Will either swap out.

For 2014 through about 2019, the F150 and Transit used the same 3.7L PFDI engine (in fact they're built in the same factory). Also, for the same period, Transit only had one 3.7L PFDI engine, so I can confidently answer that a 3.7L from an F150 of the same model year should work just fine. Many of the accessories are not compatible so you'll have to transfer things like your alternator/AC brackets. Also, F150 (I think) went to EPAS in 2016 whereas Transit (I know) still used hydraulic power steering through 2019, so you won't have a power steering pump/bracket/anything, on an F150 engine. You'll have to transfer all of that over from your existing engine. Motor mounts are different, as are other minor things. Other than that it will work.
