Fuel Pump or what??????
My 91 X has been stalling and shutting off at will. I have noticed that the fuel pump stays on for hours after the truck has been shut off. In fact it apparently stayed on all night because I heard it humming this morning before starting. I beleive its starting to take its toll on my battery also. I've changed my fuel pump relay and cleaned the IAC. Do I just have a bad fuel pump or is something else causing the stalling and the pump to stay on???

Without power, it won't stay on. The relay is connected to battery power that is on all the time. The computer turns the relay on and there is a second relay that provided power to the computer. It seems unlikely that there would be two failures to turn the pump on all night. I suspect this is a connector problem in the relay socket. The connector to the pump has pushed out of the plastic that sometimes shorts to power and other times opens power to the pump.
