spare tire mounts?

hey im lookin for a spare tire mount that goes right behind the cab (ie. front of bed) and sits upright and in the middle directly behind the back window. do they make such a thing? i had an extra tire cause i just got new ones and i strapped it up there. it looks pretty sweet with my dual antennas!

I've seen one that bolts to the side of the bed wall, with the wheel and tire sitting straight up. Don't see any reason why it couldn't be bolted to the front wall other than you better have awfully THIN arms to get the mounting bolts on or just remove the bed from the frame, mount the tire mount and re-install the bed.

If you really get desperate, use one off a full size van (bolts to the door) and modify to fit your truck.

There was an inbed spare tire carrier offerred as an accessory to my 89 F150 .. I even got the part number from a Ford dealer (sorry -don't have that info anymore). I didn't get one..had some other problems to work on at the time. I think it was made to bolt up to the side of the bed, not behind the rear window.

Check Ford dealers for accessories for your year, or check salvage yards. You might even find one from non-Fords or vans, suv, that you could modify.
