Ok you need a reman carb. thats fine, I can't help you as I have rebuilt the best one I could find and had good luck. A reman is a worn out core that has rebored rebushed throttle shaft bushings and who knows what else, your truck, your money. but is there a competent mechanic that may be able to rebuild a carb for you?
In my experience, the cost of rebuilding a carb using a professional is twice the cost of a new/reman 2150. Maybe more. Your money and decision. If you don’t have emissions, that Hollley 2V is the best carb you will find for your application. If you do have emissions, there are fewer choices - I recommend Autoline. Or get a new 4V intake and sky is the limit.
I just put a Holley 2V on my 360FE, Should have done it yrs ago, all I had to do once installed, wait for it to get to temp , set curb idle, and tune the idle mix just a tiny bit, runs so much better ... It can sit for over a week, 3-4 pumps, boom, fires up...
