Air Intrusion Problem
I have a 79 f350 that i put a 7.3 IDI into. i recently installed a second fuel filter and discovered a horrible air intrusion problem. After fixing that my truck would start and run fine if i let it sit overnight but if i let the truck sit for half a day and go to leave work it will sputter like it would as if it had air intrusion. This only happens if i let it sit half a day. These air intrusion problems are giving me headaches.

do you park on a hill?
if yes, try parking with the engine down hill. this will make it harder for the fuel to drain back to the tank as the tank will be higher.
engine up hill will put the tank lower making it easier to siphon fuel back to tank.
