351w EFI Intake
Hi guys,
I have a 351w with speed density efi and was wondering if their are any budget friendly ones. I saw trickflow sells the upper, but not the lower anymore? It seems like the options are very limited and expensive unless I'm not looking at the right things. Is it even worth it to upgrade? I was thinking about just doing a smallish cam, ported D00E heads I had lying around, roller rockers and exhaust. It's in a truck.

You don't need an aftermarket intake for that, when you have the die grinder out open up the stock lower intake's port exits to match the heads. Apparently the 5.8 intake flows better than it looks and just needs a little help at these pinch points.

302 EFI upper bolts on it too. I have heard of people gasket matching the 302 gasket to the 351 unit.
I would definitely pass on those old heads designed in the 60s. Even the most entry level Edelbrocks will blow those away.

Here Scndsin's thread on porting a 5.8L lower intake to work with the better flowing 5.0L upper intake. This is what I did on my 5.8L build also.
