2008 Expedition Body Control Module

Hi folks, I have an 08 and think I need to replace the Body Control Module again. Been replaced before by Ford and cost an arm and leg. Seems there might be some type of short circuit affected by heat. It is doing same as it was before several years ago....radio on/off on it's own, dash warning indicators come on with a mind of their own, etc. This issue comes and goes.

Anyone else have this same experience and find a different solution causing the problem?

All grounds have been confirmed to be good? Engine to body, body to frame, negative battery cable, etc? I would try even adding a ground cable or two before replacing module.

I have spent a lot of time checking and cleaning the grounds. Where would I add extras?

Get the big strap style. Engine to frame via any convenient bolt location. Engine block to firewall. Underneath, a bolt location into the metal of the body to the frame. There should be several spots.

You have a way ti verify BCM is bad?

I have no way to identify if it is bad other than the last time at the dealer they had to zip tie the connector so it would not unlatch. I checked the latch/zip tie and moved the wiring around and it does not cause any issues, so seems the connect is good. The dealer had mentioned that before the zip tie, he could move the plug and it would cause the symptoms and after, it did not.
It could be a bad connector, but as mentioned when I try to move it around and even all the wiring while truck is running, I don't get any reactions.
The issue just comes and goes. Is not consistent, so is a gremlin hard to figure out.
Any ideas, I am standing by!

I wish I had a good idea. You've check grounds and connections. New bcm isn't cheap. The Expy forum doesn't get nearly as ouch traffic as the others. So may be a while before someone who may know responds.
