1991 f150 5.0 auto dual tanks
FIilled both Thursday. Running on front. Noticed very quickly fuel spilling out of rear. Switch to rear tank. No more spillage. From what I have read mine is to new for "tank selector valve". I read the tank getting filled has the problem. Do I just replace pump in rear? Thanks guys
Dozens of threads on this forum with the same issue. On 1990 and up gas engines trucks the the tank that is getting filled has a bad check or shuttle valve in the fuel delivery module (inside the tank). Some have tried installing the recall external check valve in the supply line to fix the issue, but the success rate is unknown. The most common and suggested fix is replacing the entire fuel delivery module (FDM) of the affected tank.
