1992 E-250 crank no start
I was driving tonight and the engine died at around 20mph. The engine cranks at a healthy speed. I can hear the fuel pump priming and it was replaced about 2 years ago. I checked the passenger side ground connection from frame to body. Looks beefy as hell and not corroded at all. I checked the fuel pump inertia switch by jumping the connector, still no start. I checked the fuel pump and EEC (computer?) fuses. I swapped out the EEC relay with the horn relay and horn still works, but still doesn't start. I'm waiting to get towed somewhere safe before I start taking things apart to check for spark.
What should I check next? Currently on PCH in a bike lane at 4AM waiting for a non existent tow truck. Good thing this van is also a house.
I tested for spark at the coil by connecting a spark plug to the coil directly and grounding it. It had no spark but the connector had power. The coil also measured something like 50k Ohms in resistance.
