For those of you with headache racks, how did you route your wiring? I don’t like the idea of routing it between the bed and cab, my bed is trashed and front wall of the bed is bowed so hard it almost touches the cab. I’m worried the wiring would get pinched and shorted if I route it through there. I have a 5th wheel trailer plug in the bed, but I’m sure I would destroy my wiring with firewood being thrown in there this summer.
should I come down through a stake pocket? Seems the safest for the wires. Just picked the rack up yesterday and haven’t been able to poke around much as it was pouring rain (not complaining, we needed it) all afternoon. Thanks in advance
I think I figured it out. Going to wire rack to a 7 pin connector and route it up under the bed rail to plug into 7 pin for 5th wheel that’s already in the bed. I can unplug it and tuck it up out of the way when I throw firewood in the bed so I don’t ruin it, and I don’t have to touch my taillight harness.
