Second fuel tank on X?

Anyone know a way to add a second fuel tank on the Excursion without having to get CARB or DOT approval? It would be totally cool to go 4-500 mi. south of the border without filling up.

I read something on this site awhile ago about "piggy-backing" two stock gas tanks togther. Guess it wouldn't be that hard to do. Alittle welding - cutsom this - custom that , etc...
I am sure someone has done it...
