A/C kicks on for 15-25 minutes then it slows to a trickle if anything at all at the vents for airflow.
I can hear the blower motor working but no air at the vents.
Inherited truck at 17K miles from a previous tech that quite. Unsure if it worked before.
Dealership replaced the blower motor claiming they found a fault code. I told them from the start I could hear it blowing just fine.
Tried vacuuming and blowing out my condensation line to no effect.
This was after the truck puked some water on my passenger side floor boards. Thinking hey the condensation drain must be clogged as it lasted longer
after it did this.
Tried unplugging my under dash A/C servo motor that changes where the air is directed to no effect.
Forgot to mention that.
Yes checked and replaced with brand new, not that the first one was bad at all to begin with.
Thanks though
I'm just extremely tired of trying to get Ford to fix this. Its my work truck I use every day.
Then after it wasn't fixed the first time their so backed up its a good 2-3 month before they can see it again.
So if I can figure this out myself all happily pay out of pocked to fix it myself.
Sounds like the evaporator freezing over, ice blocks airflow.
When the a/c quits blowing, if you turn it off for a bit, will it start blowing okay again, then stop again after a few minutes?
If so, then it is either not charged correctly, or a valve is stuck.
Alright that now actually makes alot more sense & maybe it is that.
Because it seems to work alot longer on really hot days, its been 100-105 in the pacific northwest here lately.
If the truck sits at a job for at least an hour plus it will resume working again. Hence your ice blocking airflow is probably right.
Thank you! Itll give me something to give them a pointer in the right direction!

Hello I have the same issue less than 10 k on a 2022 lariat bought new.
didn't have issue at first but didn’t run ac as was feb when I got truck
bringing to dealership tomorrow
I believe it is icing up
My 2022 air system stinks like something dead. I have replaced the air filter and loaded the system with lysol but it still smells bad. Only 13,000 mile and 18 months old.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

Mine too... going back to the shop again for it. They cleaned it last time, but it lasted all of about 1 hour before the moldy smell was back.

My dealership replaced the evaporator as it tested with a faulty valve.
Now when radio is on and you change the temperature you get a static noise from the speakers.
Will need to go back. But Elder ford has not returned my calls or texts.
My 22 F250 Lariat had the same thing. They injected dye in the system and traced a leak to the evaporator. They replaced it under warranty and now all is good. Problem is, getting to the evaporator is a chore. The whole dash has to come out.
Got my truck back from the dealer today. The bad smell in the HVAC turned out to be !00% my fault. The mechanic checked everything, found no issues with the system. He looked under the passenger seat and found a ziplock bag that was growing its own ecosystem. The put the truck on some type of denomination system (ionization) and everything is good now. I had to pay for the service (rightly so) but I was very happy to find something definite. It can be frustrating to have an issue without finding the cause. Thank you BownScarff Ford in Kent, WA!
I don't know how I missed seeing the baggie under the seat, I bet i have cleaned and vacuumed that truck 5 times since July.
