I am trying to replace the center strip of my bed I have the new panel but has anyone replaced theirs? Need some help how do you remove old sheet without destroying cross sills under the sheet. This part is getting old there was so much rust in bed basically the first 2 feet in front and as anyone knows that compromises the lower part of the cab. I'm considering cutting just what I need and having it welded in. I even have a friend with metal shop has a huge press bender and I showed him pics of the torque tube and he said we can try and build one said didn't look that complicated more of a hassle getting it welded back in. Well thanks for any acknowledgement's they are sorely appreciated you'd think after 2 65's and that Bronco but in a different class here with all this sheet metal and welding one thing I never could master even after 23 years in service.
