Rear Main
How much would a new rear main seal cost me? I have a '95 F-150XL with 6cyl & manual transmission. It has just come to my attention that there is a rear main leak. I have a buddy with a transmisison jack/lift so we can probably do the work ourselves. It's not a severe leak by any means (I'm down a quart every thousand miles), but I'd like to fix it in lieu of selling my truck. What am I looking at for parts for this chore? What will the cost be? Thanks!

If ya replace NOTHING but the seal about $20.00 in parts. If ya got near 100,000 miles or over I'd replace the clutch and pressure plate, and the slave cylinder for the clutch. Replace all of that you're looking at about $150.00/200.00.
