I replaced the battery on my 17 XLT on Wednesday. Now when I roll down my passenger window, then put it back up, it will automatically roll back down. Once I put it back up, it is fine. Any theories on why this might happen?
Sounds like the bounce back is working, like when something blocks the glass from fully going up.
Try resetting it by rolling the window all the way down, holding the button down for a few seconds after it is all the way down, then do the same thing in the up position.
It seems the window has forgotten where the top of the window frame is and thinks it has hit an obstruction. There is a calibration procedure described in the owners manual. Ltngdrvr's post seems about right.
Any chance the window was down while you were swapping the battery?
