Injector Problems

I recently pulled the plug wires on my '92 F-150, 5.0L to put on another truck. It ran when I pulled the wires then when I went to put new wires and plugs in it would not start. I have spark from the coil and to all of the plugs but the plugs seem not to be getting any fuel. Any ideas would be great.

Are you absolutely sure that you put the plug wires on the correct way? Did you take out the plugs to see if they were dry or wet?

I checked the firing order 6 times and have replaced plugs and wires. I pulled the plugs as well and they seem to be wet.

I hope you did not have to check it 6 times!

Anyway, just to make sure, check it a seventh time: 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 Distributor rotation: Counterclockwise.

While you are at it, be absolutely sure that your rotor is pointing to #1 when the piston is just before TDC (10 degrees).

If you bought the truck used or someone else previously installed a distributor, your truck may have always been "out of phase" . Just a wild guess.

Here's an update. I parked the truck for a while because I did not have time to work on it. I spent today checking somethings and here is what I discovered. I pull 3 codes 114, 116 and 636. I testesd the ACT and it was fine.

I hear the fuel pump turn on.

I get spark

I remember a couple of months ago that While I was driving the truck started to sputter and act like it was out of fuel. I pulled over to the side of the road and it started after a few minutes. I also have had trouble at times with it running really rough when I first start. It is intermitent though. I didn't give much thought to these because it ran until now.
