I always thought the rear A/C was standard in the Excursion. Well I'm looking to put Freon back in it. Was going to evac and recharge.
But I have this label under the hood. What is GCC?
Mine is an 04 XLT 4x4 6.8. I can't trust that there is a control for it on the overhead because that was replaced with one out of a limited sometime in it's life.
If it is set for rear air you will see where the freon lines will y off at the fire wall and off the accumulator in front of the radiator and the lines go back to the passenger side behind the where the jack sits if you don't see the 2 sets of y off for high and low to the rear it was not set up for it at the factory. Good luck mal11963
I thought that stood for Gulf Cooperation Council, meaning cars meant for export to the Middle East. Those require beefier AC components due to their climate.
