Steering Lock to Lock
Quick question, on a 79 F250 4x4
How many turns from lock to lock on standard 4x4.steering gear box.
Now, how many turns from lock to lock is the quick steering gear box.
Thanks

Optional 3 turn. NOT for a 4wd, I believe a 2wd. https://redheadsteeringgears.com/2751
Please Note: This Steering Gear Box is available in a 3 Turn option which is applicable if the vehicle is not used for off-roading, has tires that are smaller than 37 inches in diameter, and a quicker response is desired when steering, please click on the following link to view: 2751-3T
FTE info:

2wd truck 5 3/4 L to L https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/60788/10002/-1
Reason for the question is since I am now driving the truck some, the steering seems to be too quick.
Did not know if the PO installed a steering gear from a van or something that made it quicker than the stock 250.
Would be great if I was racing BUT for street seems too quick
Mine is presently 4 L to L just seems a little quick for stock.
Just trying to figure it out.
Thank you all again
Alex
Thanks, I will figure it out.
Maybe when the PO had the RC 4" lift done maybe the boneheads got the geometry messed up.
No big deal, but of all the old trucks I have had this just seems REAL quick as just a little movement makes a large difference.
Drives great, runs great,, hands off goes straight so no complaints on all that just real quick like a racing steering gear..
Thank you, Alex
