Always gonna be some that have themselves convinced that selecting that next option is just not worth it. Could be why I have never purchased a Platinum or King Ranch, but wish I could get contour seats on a Lariat.
I've gone back and forth between the Lariat and Platinum trying to justify that next step but I can't quiteeee rectify it.
Yeah I didn't even realize the ultimate came with the sound upgrade. I was getting it for all of the other stuff. The sound upgrade makes it even sweeter. Looking forward to ordering.
Same for me. Pleasant surprise reading this thread. I am going to add the package mainly for the HID’s and auto running boards.
I can only offer that there is a difference between the standard B&O in my 21' F250 and my new 23' F150 with the unleashed system. Unleashed definitely has a little more base and just sounds better overall. Now don't get me wrong, I'm upgrading my F150 sound system but the unleashed is better than the standard system. I can't hear anything from the speakers in the headliner and I can only hear some sound from the headrests if I press my ear up against the headrest. For those looking for a little more performance from the standard system, you will get that from the unleashed.
Power fold running boards
Heads up Display
Co-Pilot 360 2.0
4 way adjustable headrests
Front parking sensors(which will auto turn on the front camera when parking)
tow technology package
upfitter switches
tailgate step
And a few other odds and ends...
The Lariat Ultimate package has a ton of content for the ~5k it costs.
Lariat comes standard with the co pilot 360 already. Tow tech pkg at $1570 includes most of the desirable features of the ultimate pkg like front sensors, lane assist, adaptive cruise hitch assist etc. Upfitter switches are like $165 and tailgate step is $375. I don't want power running boards they would be $995 without the pkg although you can substitute the regular fixed boards on a Tremor which is what I plan to order, but there's no credit for it which is bs. These items add up to about $3K for all a la carte or really $2K for me since I wouldn't be getting the power steps anyway. So essentially you're paying $2K if keeping the power steps or $3K if not for a few extra speakers, headrests that adjust a couple of extra ways that I would probably use once and leave where I want it after that as well as a heads up display. Not worth it to me. To each their own.
For the front seat passengers, the Unleashed brings a whole new level of audio. I had a demonstration of it a while back, and the demonstration used high-res Apple Music with Dolby Atmos. The sound was a big step up from what I'm used to with the older Sony system in my truck. But it's no where near the level of the Revel Audio systems available in the Lincolns (that is truly amazing).
If you're the kind of person that has no issue spending a 2 or 3 grand on an aftermarket system, then you should be able to get a system that outperforms the Unleashed. But for the convivence of getting a system from the manufacturer, it's hard to beat it. I'd pay for it. B&O Level 1 vs unleashed
I was all set to be disappointed in it. I'm not....and I am pretty fussy on music and sound. Radio sounds weak....Apple Music and Pandora sound very good. As mentioned.. for me ....it's a good enough upgrade to not spend 2-3k at a sound shop. I like it.

my feelings exactly.
it’s not gonna win a sound contest with high end **** but my b&o unleashed is perfect for my ears. No complaints.

Lariat comes with co-pilot 360... NOT 360 2.0... And front sensors, lane assist and adaptive cruise, etc... are not part of "tow tech package"... Respectfully I suggest you educate your self on what exactly comes with the packages before you tell us that its not worth it or whatever... because you dont actually know/understand what the ultimate package comes with...
NOW whether these differences are worth it to you is not the discussion... but there IS added value in Co Pilot 360 2.0 vs. co pilot 360 which is essentially just the 360 camera package and BLIS like the 2022 had...

I know and understand the most recent order guide very well and suggest that you re-familiarize yourself with it and what’s actually showing up on dealer lots before you post disinformation. Front sensors are now part of tow tech Pkg since 2023 Job 2 as are adaptive cruise and lane keeping on a Lariat since they bumped the price for the Pkg. Auto high beam is also std on the Lariat. Look at the order guide. Lots of features are stated in the general description of a Pkg for example “tow tech Pkg”. That Pkg has different contents depending on whether it’s an XL, XLT or Lariat. Many of the features that Pkg adds to lower trim lines are already standard on a higher trim line and thus not really part of the Pkg for a certain trim line. Regular co pilot 360 vs 2.0 is like an iPhone 5 vs a 5s. Insignificant.
Disinformation? I guess its Ford thats putting that out..
Just keep trying to justify why you didnt order a Lariat Ultimate...
I haven’t ordered anything yet. I believe in education and research first.
You couldn’t have posted directly from the official guide unless it was from the wrong one, an older version or left things out by typing them vs taking an actual pic of the guide.
Posted below is the most current one.
Please take the time to read through it and pay attention to the actual details. If you find that you need help I can highlight what you cant seem to see or realize. Just let me know and I will help you.
The Front sensing system as part of the Tow Tech Pkg is the only thing that doesn’t show up on the most currently published order guide, but it has been confirmed by more than one person on this forum that has recently taken delivery and there is a video on YouTube (linked below) of a Lariat and XL comparing different equipment and options.
The Lariat in the video has only the tow tech Pkg not the Ultimate Pkg and has the front sensors.

You would have to spend seat time in each to get the feel as to what to buy the Platinum for. Other than Bling, the seats are the major price difference between Lariat Ultimate and Platinum. Different leather and cushioning on the seats along with the massaging bags, is basically the only real difference between the trims, other than the bling.
