I couldn't find one on my 2003. Called the dealer because it was listed as 'standard' on the 6.0. They told me where to find the cord. It's 'hidden' behind the passenger side fog light on the 2003. Very difficult to see if you don't know where to look.
It was a bear to find. On my first vist, even the dealer couldn't locate it (Jan 2003). Next visit (March) the mechanic showed me where it was.
All the price info I have shows it as a $35 option. The "Ford build" web site in Nov. 2002, the dealer and Consumer Reports info sheets in Dec. 2002, and the sticker when it arrived in Jan 2003.
So I guess some time after that Ford made it stock javascript:smilie('') ?
I had heck finding mine too. At the passenger-side tow hook, stick your hand into the square hole in the bummper that the hook is mounted in on the right side of the hook. It's to the side or below and tie-wrapped.
Since this is a common question, I'll post a picture on my gallery in a few minutes.
