Recently bought my first diesel a 2019 platinum. It has been deleted and has a 5 position switch, but no monitor. I have no idea what tunes it has, but there is a guy whose tunes I would like to try. What is my next step? Do I need to get a monitor that will flash back to stock then download his tunes?
I'm running the EZ Lynk AutoAgent with the rotary **** for SOTF.
When the vehicle is sold I'll need to transfer the account to the new owner so they have access.
Otherwise, I understand it's a headache getting access.
Good Luck

you need a handheld to transfer the new tuners files from the web to your truck. that way you also have the old tunes and the stock tune (which might not be the option in this case as the truck is already tuned)
if someone is selling tunes i'd at least expect them to provide the cheap bullydog handheld to load their tunes to your truck as part of their service.

Where'd you buy the truck... dealer, used or new car... or a private sale? It's going to be good for you to get ahold of that flash tuner if you can. Did the original emissions components come with it?
Plus what's nice, or a possible headache for you not having it, that tuner will have the OEM tune on it.
You should be able to buy an ezlynk tuner online with a tunes package, take ownership of the vehicle, flash back to stock then to whatever your desired tune will be pretty easily.

This is what's crazy to me about buying a deleted truck when dealers or sellers of such don't sell the truck with the flash tuner... while I understand that maybe the seller bought it like that, but this is knowledge that should be getting passed on to the new buyer because I think it's BS that the OP has to buy a new flash tuner... unless the truck was bought the last time without it... it's definitely a buyer beware situation as many buy a deleted 6.7 while not having the necessary knowledge about these deleted trucks and what it entails without the flash tuner in hand...
Got in contact with the tuner I want to use. I need to get an ezlynk auto agent and then can flash back to stock on my phone and download his tunes. Not going to be as big of a headache as I originally anticipated. Thanks for all the advice

Yep was pretty easy when I had to do it... I dont think the "ownership" portion is too strictly validated.

I see what you're saying. Really gotta be aware of what you're doing (what you're getting into) anytime you're buying these diesels IMO.
