I probably wouldn't have noticed if I didn't have a high decibel reverse horn but the reverse lights stay on even when I put it in park or even D, 3, 2 or 1.
I have a 2011 E-350, v10 with a 5R110W trans.
I was hoping that there was a range sensor external to the 5R110W trans but it doesn't look like it.
I am assuming it may be the Transmission Range Sensor- Has anyone else had this issue.,
I don't have a wiring diagram for a 2011 but the 2010 diagram shows the reversing lamp relay powered by an output of the PCM on the TorqShift and Diesel. Only the 4R75E has a Transmission Range Sensor connected to the reversing lamps circuit.

Thank you.
I also found another thread that suggested this:
Go into the fuse box under the dash and first pull fuse F8 Report what happens to the reversing lamps. Then, put the fuse back in and pull the reversing lamp relay and then report those results. See owner's manual for component locations.
Do you have a camera or some such device that might be feeding power back to the reverse lights?

I do. I am going to disconnect the radio and backup camera and see it that might be the issue. Crappy budget radio installed just so that I would have the backup camera - no issues for 4 months but who knows - could be.
