Starting on my 3rd tank since I reset the somewhat optimistic guess-o-meter. It was 13.4 MPG for a while there. This is all around town, no highway or interstate. Not bad for a truck this size. No I haven't bothered to calculate by hand. That could be disappointing.
After having my pump seal replaced on the 10R140 the underside of the truck is dry everywhere again over 1000 miles later. My transmissions has been smooth as silk since getting it back but I still turn AdvanceTrac off everytime I drive. I noticed when towing and making a stop that my diff cover was always slightly hotter when Advance Trac was left on.
In 40k miles I've changed the trans filter and 11 quarts of ULV, front and rear diff fluid, transfer case fluid, engine air filter x2 and upgraded to the WR6167 spark plug wires.
I have been consistently getting 12-12.5mpg at 80mph. Dropping to 70mph and I'm around 14mpg and at 60mph I have seen as good as 17mpg. I have been averaging 12mpg over the last 4 tanks in 50/50 city/highway driving. My last full tank of all highway above 70mph was 13.5mpg. Over 65mph and the fuel economy just starts dropping quickly.
Thats about what mine does
display seems to read about 3/4 mpg high vs hand calc. This was a mixture with mostly 60-65 hoghway some 75-80 and some stop n go
