Im no mechanic, but this doesn’t look good. Just got to work (night shift) and heard something, so I took a look underneath and see that the rear differential is pouring oil. Anyone have a good idea where I could start with fixing this?

Definitely don't drive it like that. If a simple leak was the extent of the problem, such as a worn seal or loose gasket, it would have been quiet as a church mouse. Nor would the volume been all that bad for a garden variety leak. Most likely something came apart inside the differential and dislodged the seal at the front.
Chock the wheels and set the parking brake. Put the transmission in neutral so the driveshaft is unloaded. Shake the shaft at the front of the differential. I suspect you will find a lot of play.
Call a tow truck to get home. You've lost all oil in addition to a strong possibility of internal damage. Is the damage repairable? Unknown for now, but not very likely if you try driving home like that and make it worse.
Can you get some pictures so we can see where the leak is ?
Is yours just from the Pinion seal or is there a crack in the housing ? pictures front and back would be great.
If its just the Pinion seal, the driveshaft will need to be removed and the Pinion nut removed to get to the seal.
I will get pics tomorrow. The main reason I am asking is the diff pinion shimmed or non-shimmed . I seen vids on how to do non-shimmed, i.e. marked everything and count the number of turns on the nut. Found the label
Sorry for the late update, finally got around to working on it. Looks as though it wasn’t the pinion seal, unfortunately didn’t realize until after I changed the seal. I learned I should be a little more vigilant next time and look things over better haha.

8.8 with 3.55 gears? Take the cover off to see how bad it is. It looks like the cross pin came out and hit the cover. Depending on the damage, it might be easier to swap out the axle with one from a junkyard.

It’s completely shot in there, so I’m looking around for a axle match, but due to the condition of the rest of the body I’m also looking for something to possibly swap the engine into. The 302 is in great shape but unfortunately everything else is on its last leg, not sure what I’m going to do yet, depends on what I find but I’ll post an update.
