back from the dead
just obtained 2004 f-250 super duty 4x4 with 150000 miles had been used as plow truck for a non-ford dealership and was parked 4 years ago when brake line blew. It ran well when parked just no brakes. installed battery and put in 5 gallons gas (tank empty or close to empty) not pumping fuel. tested power at fuel pump connector get 12 volt for fraction of second then goes to 6.2 volts. pump shows continuity with meter. fired it and ran a bit on starting fluid still not fueling. good scanner did not connect to pcm (just read here to check fuse) good fuse for fuel pump, with voltage to fuel pump assuming good relays. sounds like seized fuel pump? can't hear it run. cut through bed to check voltage not big deal to replace pump this way.
