EFI Computer issues with cam

Im looking to cam my 351w efi and am curious if im going to have issues with the ecu. The can in question is a comp cams Xtreme energy with a 218/224 lift and a 262/270 duration. It has a lobe separation of 110 degrees. From everything I’ve read online it should be just within the perimeters of the computer but i want to be sure. If it wont work what would i need to do to make it work?

LSA is a bit too tight, probably will have idle issues. To make that cam work will probably require a moates tuner

What year is your truck?
Where have you read online that a cam with 110deg LSA is compatible with the EFI system in these Ford trucks?
The speed density(MAP) version relies on manifold vacuum for fueling calculations so the cam has to be mild enough that is produces a vacuum range and level that is similar to the stock cam. In general that means it must have 112-115 deg LSA and no more than about 210 deg intake duration at 0.050" lift. The Comp cams 35-349-8 is an example of a cam that is right on the edge of not being compatible.

this is an absolutely correct statement as far as cams go. You cannot use an alphabet cam on orders feed them please set up the only way you can make this work is to convert the entire truck over to a mass air system or run a standalone controllers for your engine and transmission.

I bought an older Ford vehicle on the cheap because they had put a B303 cam in it that was not compatible with the speed density of the motor. I switched out the cam put one in that had 112° of lobe separation and fired the engine up and drove the vehicle for several years.
