I recently bought a 1985 bronco ii xlt and driving it home it cut out and hasn’t started again since. I’m honestly stumped on what to do next it has fuel running into the carburetor. It has spark I changed all the spark plugs today it did make it almost start but not quite. Only thing else I can think of is a compression issue but I want to see what other people think first
When you try to start it, look down the carb throat afterward. If you see fuel dripping into the engine, the carb is flooding the engine and drowning the sparkplugs. This is my guess since new plugs made it almost start. If you see fuel dripping down the carb throat, it must have a piece of dirt stuck in the carb needle.
