Hey, I have a 2019 platinum with the multi contour massage seats and i’ve had this truck for about 3 months and I love this truck but over the last 4 weeks or so my lumbar area on my back starts to ache after about more then 20 or so minutes of driving and it gets worse as time goes on and it didn’t used to bother me until about 4 weeks ago. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what to do or if I should just try and get used to it. I bought it used in april 2023 so the seats have broken in. I love this truck and want to try and get this resolved.
My 20 F150 has the heated/cooled seats. The heat function is handy when my back hurts, but the seats themselves aren't too uncomfortable. It's definitely more comfortable than the bench seat in my Bullnose
You are ‘t the only one to complain about the comfort of the massaging seats. There is a lot of complicated moving parts in them, and that means less foam. If it was my truck I would consider finding new seats for it, or take it to a good auto upholstery shop and have new foam put in and the massaging mechanism eliminated.
My wife’s former Navigator had the so called massaging seats. It was just hard points that slowly moved. I hated those seats, especially on a long trip.
Acetaminophen does absolutely zilch for me. It's also "hidden" in many medicines and can easily be overdosed without realizing it. Not to mention mixing it with alcohol can be toxic. For me, a little ibuprofen works wonders. One issue with ibuprofen is that it can be hard on the stomach, so I usually take it with bread and/or a small glass of milk.
