So I was scrolling through the ol’ tiktoks and found a video where a guy was testing different fuels in a jet engine to compare thrust output and fuel consumption. The first was jet fuel (obviously), then he got into different diesel fuels; regular ultra-low sulfur, biodiesel, and Hydrodiesel. I have never heard of Hydrodiesel before, but it did out perform the conventional diesel fuels. I did a little research and found that you are able to run it without any engine modification, it does enhance hp/torque, and it also increases fuel efficiency.
Has anyone run Hydrodiesel before?
What are y’all’s thoughts on it?
Does it really out perform conventional diesel?
Is it also cheaper?
Any info is greatly appreciated and I look forward to any discussion on it. Thanks!
No direct experience, but YT videos that I have seen indicate a decrease in power and MPGs when burning hydrodiesel. Emissions and cost per mile was not evaluated. Test was performed on a single cylinder diesel engine in a go-cart.

I think it may have been the same yt channel that did the test. I’ll have to check out the go cart video.
