Pulling carpets and Bench

Hey everyone I’m 19 I have a 1993 f150 single cab long bed, I’ve had it for about 3 years now and after it sitting for a month I went to fire it up and found maggots under the carpet on the passenger side. Naturally I want to pull all the carpets and the bench and deep clean everything, I was also thinking of an aftermarket carpet replacement that’s maybe just rubber(my job is pretty dirty so it might be easier than new carpets) Could I get any advice on pulling the carpets or cleaning the bench maybe?

Carpet is pretty easy. The seat has to come out, just four bolts. You might want to get some help actually removing the bench from the cab, it's awkward to do alone.

Next remove the trim at the door sills and around the shifter and transfer case if you have them. I can't remember if you have to remove the inner side of the seat belts or if those are behind the carpet.

You might check Rock Auto on a rubber floor. They have ACC brand floors, and usually you can get black or color match your interior.

I've done a few and the thing i hate about rubber is it doesn't breath it sweats and stays wet just about every one I've pulled has been rusting under it .carpet is tuffer to keep clean but it does dry if you spill something or just wet boots in and out .just my 02

I just pulled the stock rubber flooring out of my F150 a few weeks ago. The truck had not seen any water from rain or washing it for months. When I pulled the flooring it was wet and smelly underneath. The rubber floors do not dry out if they get water under them. I put new carpet back in mine.
