Looking to get a lift on my 2019 f250. Wondering how to count leaf springs. I think it’s 3, but don’t know if you count the bottom. Please let me know if this is 2 or 3.
The first two leafs act as the suspension ( Load bearing) to support the Estimated Weight , when you get to the limit the Jack plate kicks in like a bottom overload spring, You should see that the Jack plate is parabolic Thicker in middle and tapers out towards the end. If you add a leaf it would be part of top two leafs arched to match the top two leafs arch . They should also add a clip to the added leaf to keep them in line. I owned and operated a Spring & Alignment shop for 30 years. Retired now.

so I should order a 2 leaf main pack option for lift?
Here is an example (not 2019) of how Ford lists spring count, your would a 250 with 3. Maybe some additional info would help like whos asking and why they want to kmow your spring count.
What's your location ?
That chart counts pieces of metal. Make sure the suspension shop has the capabilities of manufacturing leaf springs such as adding a leaf / re-arching / Rolling a Eye. The top two are primary load rated, Bottom leaf is secondary. If you're riding on all three it will ride like a buckboard.
Lift the front end as much as you want and take it to a spring shop and have them level the rear to your desire. You'll be happier and you won't lose your comfort. leveling rear to front is cheaper than the lift kits. They should be able to make new U-Bolts there. Also make sure they're using American Steel for the add a leaf or two.
The only reason I can think of why they would ask that is for u bolt length. So being that there are only 2 choices, and the 4x4 F-250 doesn't come with a leaf pack containing less springs than yours, I guess I would pick the the 2 leaf option.
