Headlight Switch..Where to Find
I have a 1994 Ford Ranger 4cyl.
I need a new Headlight Switch assembly for my truck. Does anyone know where to find one. I have searched all over the internet. I would rather not have to go to a junkyard if possible, but I may have to. I am pretty sure that it would probably be a standard swtich for many of the models in the same year. The plastic from my switch broke that holds the switch against the dash so that when I pull out my light **** the lights come on but when I try to push the **** back in to turn the lights off the whole assembly slides back into the dash, so I have to pull back the dash cover and reach in there and grab the switch assembly and hold it while I push the **** back in. It is still functional, but I am pretty sure that I would not be able to pass my inspection that is overdue with the light switch like that. Thanks
If you feel that you have completely done your searching then... Sorry to say that sometimes you will have to go to a dealership to acquire needed parts as I did for my EVR / EGR!

I have the exact same problem on my '94. My light switch is a victim of a quick-lube place's latest service (light bulb check). The bimbo who went to check them didn't just grab the **** but pulled on the whole bracket. Result...
...hanging switch, just like yours. Didn't find it until a couple days later.....too late to take back and pitch a fit.
Since then, I've gotten real good at reaching up under the dash to hold the back side of the switch to turn the lights off. What parts store did you find it at and how much? You got me drooling at the thought of getting this fixed.
I figured I was screwed!P.S. - I now change my own oil, thank you.
