auto lock 4x4
I have a 88 bll 2.9 5 speed w/ auto lock hubs. the auto lock engages fine in the warm weather, but when it get cold here( S.C.) it wont work untill the bll has run and heated up to normal temp. ????? thanks ex...

Take them apart and clean them out and relube with 90wt oil(NOT GREASE)..This is verry common ,the grease in the hubs becomes hard and thick and the trip cams in the hubs cant engage,but when it warms up they will engage..Have see this many times.......have fun....(Theta ford offroad team)
