Yes, some have reported that going to an aftermarket exhaust helped the drone.
Ford is also still working on a revised turbo pedestal bracket to solve this problem.
Last word was that it would be released in December.

where in the rpm range?
maybe i am missing it because i removed my muffler??
anyway, even when i had the muffler, i noticed no drone.... you want drone? drive a 5.0, or 4.6 stang with ANY aftermarket exhaust!!!

Mine is right at 1600 rpm. It does not bother me.
BTW, I got the November flash now. My milage is coming back from the Oct. flash. Still noisy at idle (i don't mind). Throttle response is better. Idle vibration is gone. Diesel smell in cab is gone. It ran good before but runs better now.
