Trailer wiring

Does a 2003 Ford Ranger have a plug to connect a flat four trailer wire? Or do I have to splice??

(XLT FX4 Super Cab 4x4)

David- it should have a plug. Go to your local auto parts store (or even WalMart) and get a 4-wire plug pre-connected to a Ranger adapter, the picture will show you where to connect it. My wife's 98 had a separate plug for trailer lights, my 92 F250 used an adapter that installed between the tail light connection.
