This is a good start but engineering designs need more qualification/validation and Ford needs to audit there suppliers quality before the product arrives at final assembly.
I've seen "Quality" pushes come and go many times. None lasted very long. I'm looking for more than just fit-finish improvements. I want to be able to stay the hell out of the service department other than for oil changes, and that has never happened to me except for the 2017 Explorer we had. It was mechanically very good and just had fit-finish issues. I'm waiting on my 29th Ford and just don't eat that Quality BS they're feeding us now. PROOF IT!!

With you, I would just like to stay out of a dealership period.
Just wanted to chime in and say, hopefully quality improves. However, I don't think the quality problems have been exclusive to Ford.
We have at least one vehicle manufacturing plant nearby. Their products have a premium price tag. A person I know took a starting job there welding. His report about the work environment was fascinating.
