It is weird how this works but if you use the stock Ford HO hydraulic roller cam profile as an example it could be ground as a flat tappet and run using a lifter diameter of only about .760. The peak velocity is that low. Comparing it to my DM200 lobe DM200 uses close to .820 of the lifters' diameter. The overall lift of the DM200 is taller by .001 or so so about the same yet it is doing that using 10 degrees less duration. The negative accelerations are about identical while the positive accelerations coming off of the ramp are somewhat higher than the HO cam.
