1975 F500

Looking for some help. I purchased an off-grid property several years back and this ole girl came with it. I'm looking to get her back road worthy and am needing some guidance on where I can get a passenger side window. Are the windows from the F100 and up all the same? Next is decoding this Vin code and options plate.

F50 = F500 cab and chassis

C = 330 2V MD FT gas V8 (cast FE crank, oil pump, distributor, possibly water pump and some other items)

V = Kentucy Truck Plant

W21122 = 1975 numerical series, January 1975 production

158 = 158 inch wheelbase

No color code. This is a special order truck and the color was probably part of that.

F501 = F500 chassis and cab, 16,000 lbs GVWR

238
2 = possibly blue interior (I don't have complete info on this)
3 = Ford use
8 = Standard cab without back of cab equipment--cab and chassis in other words.

A = New Process model 435 four speed manual transmission

42J
42 = Rockwell (Timken) model D-140 single speed rear axle, 13,000 lbs capacity, 6.20 ratio
J = Ford front axle with power steering. No capacity given, probably 4,500 lbs.

16000 = 16,000 lbs GVWR

838006
83 = Government
8006 = Special Order Number

Surprised it has a V8 being a gov't truck.

Do you have a title for it? Research that before you spend a dime. No sense spending money on something you can't register.

Thank you for the info. No, I don't have a title for it and was going to apply for a bonded title or Vermont title.

If the door glass is flat, any auto glass shop can cut you a new door glass from glass stock
