Im not here to split hairs about who said what and whether someone said "usually" or not. I just replied becasue im looking for information from grown adults about what engine is in my truck, and make sure i get the correct parts to stop the oil leak/leaks. Those who give me informative information, thank you. Those who get hung up on whether someone was implying a fact of whether all trucks have this or dont have that..... not helpful at all. Why would a turbo pedestal from riffraff fit a 99 powerstroke, but not fit a 1999 f250 powerstroke with a build date of 3/98? Im not a mechanic, but am planning on replacing the trubo pedestal, rebuilding the fuel bowl.... and wondering what else it would be in my interest to do while ive disassembled that much of the top? The truck has 340k miles on it, its a 2wd long bed with the suicide doors, not a full crew cab. Thanks Door sticker of mentiones truck
as i said before, there are differences between the early 99 and late 99 engines. and one of those differences is the turbo pedestals.
the early has a smaller turbo and smaller injectors, and the pedestal is shorter by about 2 inches if i remember correctly.
