Hello,
I’m new to the scene with my 65 f100 2 wheel drive.
Awhile back I had a 64 f100 and it had the circular gauges. Now I have a 65 f100 2 wheel drive and it also has the circular gauges. I, wrong of course, thought 65 started the horizon type gauges. I went on eBay and I did notice that there are 1965 f100
with 2 wheel drive that have the circular gauges. Did this start mid 65?
Just thinking out loud.
Thank You!

In 1965 and 1966, standard cabs had round gages, while the higher trimmed/badged Custom Cabs had what is known as the sweep speedometer. But one member here owns a truck whose original owner specified round gages in his Custom Cab .
I have a 65 custom cab and I am using the round gauges because I think they look better and the bezel is steel not plastic. Just my two cents
Good idea about steel bezel vs the plastic as the plastic is virtually impossible to rechrome correctly now. I had mine done way back in 2009 by a business specializing in this stuff but is now gone.
