So I have a weird setup but would like to keep what I am running, early 77 f250 4x4 highboy with a 460 and a c6, I removed the in cab fuel tank and put a 65 gallon tank off a semi trailer in the box behind the cab, I was driving for bout a week no problems but now no matter what I do I cant get fuel or if I do it's only enough to run for a moment, tried mechanical pumps, electrical ones and even using one of each together and I'm getting no where, tried pressurizing the tank still nothing, but if I take the fuel hose off the electrical pump in front of it and turn it on it will spray fuel no problem, I put it back together and it'll run for a moment again I'm at a loss here and don't know what else I can do This is the best pic i have of the tank just so you get an idea of what im working with
What I'd want in my bed up close, 65 gallons of gas. I hope it's secured well if you have a car pull out in front of you, 65 gallons weighs over 420 pounds. There's a lot of inertia there if the hood stops sudden, like if it hits something solid.
To the issue, where did this tank come from, was it used with diesel fuel, or was it really clean. Is it baffled to not slosh a lot? Where is the fuel filter, might check it.

its off of a reefer trailer, its mounted directly to the frame with a custom half inch steel crossmember/mount ill look for a better picture, it hasnt been an issue with hard changes of direction, it was used with diesel but pumped it out into my skidsteer and cleaned out what the transfer pump couldn't get, it has 2 filter as of now just being safe there is one after the tank before the electric pump and then one more up before the carb

Reason: Mount picture
Is your supply line off the bottom of the tank so it’s gravity fed, or is it off the top of the tank with a suction tube?
The big question is ...
Where is the pump mounted?
If I understand it you can pull the inlet line off the pump and you have fuel.
What happens if you pull the outlet line off the pump, fuel or no fuel?
Some pumps use a filter screen on the inlet side could it be plugged?
