I have a 2023 Ford Super Duty. XLT one camera system. First one with a backup camera so I'm not sure if this is normal. The backup camera looks a little bit like I'm in a mirror fun house. It is distorted to the point it looks like I am about to hit the garage but there is plenty of room. Would be good for hitching up, but not much else. Normal?
Totally normal, it is because of its wide-angle view.
Also, you know the + button on the screen zooms it in to see the hitch ball closer up, right?
Thanks for the quick response! I wish they had not gone so wide, as I'd much rather just have a very clear view of the bumper area to make sure there are no kids, dogs etc back there. It is what it is.
Yes, I did know about the zoom but thanks for mentioning. Always glad to get tips.

Well, you could have spent another 8-10 grand and got a Lariat with the 12" screen, them kids and dogs have a harder time hiding in that one.
The view in mine is not anywhere near that distorted as it is in the 8" screen.
Of course, the camera resolution is pretty poor, doesn't help at all.

I guess it's kind of like sitting in the cheap seats at the game...view isn't as good but I'm still in the ballpark.
Maybe the aftermarket will come up with a better replacement.
