Do the new V-8s have cylinder deactivation like Chevys have? It seems like Chevys have a lot of trouble due to that.
I think 2018 and newer Chevy V8s have next to zero reliability issues with cylinder deactivation. I would have it tuned out to prevent any issues if you want peace of mine. But I would give it time for people to start racking up 60k plus miles and see if theres a common theme.
Ford has is now and may be a better system than GM uses. The methods are patented by the developers..
