I've recently inherited an old for pickup. I don't know a whole lot about it yet and could use some help with ID, value, if it's worth putting money into...any thing really from people more knowledgeable than myself. I have a few pictures and can easily take/get more taken. I'm trying to decide what should be done with it ultimately. Any advise is appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Too many unknowns to fully weigh in. Sentimental value, family member truck? History? Do you like old trucks? Do you view it as a headache or an opportunity? Engine stuck? Engine? Rust issues? Cab supports and floor need replacement? Cab corners? Wiring? Seat need upholstering? Brakes and system will need attention or more.
Looks like a Custom Cab F100 2WD with a 1966 grill and bed. Hard telling not knowing what it needs. “seems” solid… perhaps from an outward appearance.
these are not rare but they are unique and neat. In this forum most will say - keep it, fix it, drive it. On another brand forum - some will say something different and value it less.
It’s yours, so what you want with it. If you like old ford trucks, keep it get it running and enjoy it as a weekend cruiser. If you don’t like old ford trucks, sell it and get something you like, or don’t. If you’re selling it, Something running will always have more value then something that doesn’t, so if you go that route see if the motor is stuck and if not throw a new battery on it, some new plugs and wires, change the oil and spend a day getting it running. Not running, not driving and not stopping- it’s worth less than a grand. Running I’d say 2 grand. Running driving and stopping maybe 5 or up. People like the patina look so you’ve already got that going for it. And all this is only if you have a title. No title then part it out if you’ve got the time and the space to keep it. Your location also has a little to do with it. It’s worth a little more if you’re in the north, less if you’re in the south.

I appreciate your feedback and yeah it was a "family members" and now one of my current headaches...
He left quite a few unfortunately, I guess he needed to get a few more licks in. Couldn't make it easy.
I like old Ford anything honestly. I've got enough know-how to do pretty much anything to it, if I choose that route. Also have friends and family that could help if needed.
Really just trying to decide if it's worth any more headache than just tracking down the title and selling as-is.

Thank you. I'm praying to receive title today. It's been sitting in "storage" for 10-15 years. The old man that owns the property has told me that he would love to clean up his property but that he will give me the time needed to do whatever I decide. Obviously I don't want to take too much advantage of his generosity.
I'm in Colorado and I think that there's probably a pretty good market for them here, but I figured I'd start here, and gather wisdom before I made any further decisions.
The “Title” subject may get a lot of traction and the need for a Title to sell it, varies by State. Here in NH a truck 15 years old can be transferred with a Bill of Sale. Same applies in Vt where a title is not required.
if you keep it, you are off to a good start because you don’t have the upfront cost of purchasing a truck. But, (depending on how deep you want go… if you decide to keep it) the cost to repair can easily be a minimum of 5k upwards to the sky depending on what you do to it.
basics such as brakes, lights, tires that hold air, and ignition can get you to the 5k mark pretty fast. A truck like that, that will start, run, and brake can be worth anything from 2500- to 8k plus depending on variables that we don’t know yet.
again, too many unknowns… and this is a very broad ballpark assessment. Others may agree and disagree…which will help you narrow down your decision space.
