Driver seat Power
i need some help with my Power driver seat, i have a 2013 F250, 6.2l XLT, the 6-way power seat.
The switch stopped working. Here is what i did.
I checked all the fuses, (engine compartment, Passenger foot well).
I then checked the switched and tried measuring to find out if i get Power to the seat. And here i ran into issues.
There is a large bulky connector under the seat, there is a black/white wire which is grounding and a red wire which i believe is 12V +. but when i measure with a voltmeter there is no power at all.
Next thing i did was connecting a 12V+ cable from the dash 12V outlet to that red wire (see attacehd picture), if i do that the power seat works and i can adjust it. But it also turns on the Airbag light and the "put on belt" warning does not work so i assume the belt knuckle sensor has some issue with the external power feed.
If i would know where this wire is running i would start checking in some spots to see if i loose power.
Another question is if it could be the switch because first it worked intermittently, then i wasnt able to move the seat forward and then completley. But again if i do the manual power feed i can adjust the seat thats why i thought that the switch should be fine but these days every electronic is built so unecessary complex that i dont know if the switch is hooked up in a way that their is only going power to the seat when you use it because it seems like that the belt sensor does not want to have constant power on that red wire?
