my 77 f100 has been parked for a couple of months. when parked the transmission was working fine. the other day i hopped in and fired her up, only to have it not come out of park. any good ideas where to start?
Well It would most likely be somewhere in the linkage from the coloum down to the tranny. Or maybe in the Coulmn. I dont think that the Piston would seize in the valve body with Fluid on it.
Is it parked on a hill to did it get pushed while parked. It good be jammed against the parking prawl. To check that jack up the rear and see if you can move the tires any and try again.
It wasnt parked on a slope really at all. We lifted up the back end and moved the tires freely, but it still didnt come out of park. Thanks for the advice though.
