Same as hill assist, but different in that it keeps brakes applied and not required to be on an incline. Interesting. I bet its tied in with Adaptive Cruise with Stop n Go. The ACC does something similar when it comes to a stop behind someone. Will hold the brakes until you either step on the gas or hit resume.
Yes it does.
Edit* I just went out to the truck and I cant find it now. My truck has done 2 OTA updates in the last couple months and I have features I didnt (some don't work) and I lost some things. Sync 4 should have Auto-hold capabilities. My wife's last car (2015) and my 2015 Fusion had Auto-hold. I hated it because it was a button on the center console and my dog would step on it all the time. The Super Duty is supposed to be in the Sync screen but you dont see it either.
I bet you don't. If so, you'd be the first (and only) person to have it on a '20-'22. No owners guides or owners manuals even mention the words "auto hold" until 2023.

You're right it was my dad's 2021 F150 XLT I was driving that had it he confirmed. The interiors are so similar between the 2 trucks.
My 2023 Platnium F150 has auto hold. I turn it off due to me parking in garage and once you stop and need to nudge closer to front wall, the engine has to get to a certain rpm's before releasing. I do not want to drive through my garage getting close to the front wall.

I tried to find it on my 23, no option. The ACC does do a full stop hold, though when set.
